A Call to Founding CEOs

I’m excited to announce an open call to all founding CEOs to join CEO End State. As founding CEOs, we often receive more credit than we deserve, but we also carry the heaviest burdens and face the largest challenges in building our businesses. That’s why I created CEO End State—a unique community designed for founding CEOs to support one another, both during our time as CEOs and after we transition out of the role.

The truth is, every CEO has an "End State," whether you're Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, or a founder working to get a business off the ground that eventually struggles to gain traction. Every founding CEO faces this moment. The sooner we confront and embrace it, the more we can reduce the fear that lingers over us: "When is my time?"

This community is a call to arms for all founding CEOs. Even if you're not actively thinking about the end of your CEO journey, it's invaluable to be part of a group that helps you explore how to extend your journey on your own terms. The key is control—staying in charge of your path and stepping aside when you’re ready, not when external pressures dictate. Understanding when to continue and when it’s time to move on is crucial, but there’s no clear roadmap for this.

Too often, we navigate this transition alone, with only bits of advice from our network and no structured approach to help us make these tough decisions. That’s what CEO End State is here to change. We’re excited to launch this initiative and hope you’ll join us on this journey.
